random Saturday ~

I hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend ~ it's rainy and cold here in Ontario ~ sigh ~

So I can't take pictures because it's soo dark, so I will share some random pictures with you ~

Love this cannister set that I picked up thrifting ~ it makes me smile ;-)

Mr. Vintage and I picked up this bread box at a yard sale for $1.00 and he painted it for me ~

Love my jadite ~

I think I'm getting the itch to bake something ~ I made a pot of soup and I think a fresh loaf of bread would be perfect ~

What do you think ~ soup and fresh bread on a cold damp day ~

Hope your Saturday is beautiful ~

(((Hugs)))

  13. I think home made bread with butter sounds very good too! I don't make bread as I just be eating it all the time. I love all your vintage things on your countertop especially the cannisters - so springy with the tulips. It is cool here too and your rain is coming tomorrow for us :-( I hope spring warms up soon don't you? Blessings, Pamela

  14. Marianne, soup and fresh bread sounds divine. Your bread box reminds me of my mom. I think she had one all her adult life and lived to be 90. Hope things warm up for you, but AFTER we have soup and bread. Yum,

  21. Hi Marianne,
I have the bread box that matches the canisters in your first photo. I think it came from Oklahoma, where my mom is from. If not then she purchased it when they lived in the state of Washington.
I can see that you love jadeite, too. I especially like the color, I am wondering if I should paint my kitchen walls jadeite, just above the white, that color. When we took our kitchen apart for renovation we found that color on the walls underneath wallpaper, actually.
    Hugs, Cindy
