One step at a time ~

Hello my friends ~

As most of you know, Mr. Vintage was scheduled for surgery and today was the day ~ Surgery went very well and he is now resting ~

Now we take one step at a time and pray the Lord will do the healing ~
Mr. Vintage will be in the hospital for the next 10-14 days and I will be with him ~ so ~ I may be away for a while ~

I want to thank each and every one of YOU for all of your prayers and well wishes in the days past.  Our family has had a rough road in the last little while, but I have faith that it WILL get better.

I can't tell you enough how much I APPRECIATE all of my blogging friends.  YOU make the world of blogging so special. Your encouragement has washed over me like a big warm blanket.    I wish I could give each and every one of you and great big HUG.  My heart has been so overwhelmed by all of the care and concern that you have expressed.   Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart ~

Is this real ~ ?

Hello friends ~ I am starting to think that this blog is about doom and gloom ~ sigh ~

Yesterday, I had to part with my little best friend ~ it broke my heart and our family will miss her ~

Yes, she was my little sweet heart ;-)

Even if she ignored me to watch for squirrels

Sorry friends ~ my heart is breaking

Please forgive me, but I had to give my little girl her last day in the sunshine.  I will miss you Mindy

Saturday Treasures

Hello my friends ~ I must share with you that Mr. Vintage went and purchased a gift certificate for me for a Hot Rock Massage ~ Oh my ~
Saturday, I went and when I came back I was like a bowl of jello ~ What a wonderful treat ~!

Then, Mr. Vintage took me to a new antique shop that just opened...well, here are a few of my treasures ~
I just love this little clock ~

I just had to take these vintage pillow cases home ~

Aren't they just darling?

I love the cutwork ~

Today I spent the better part of my day fluffing my nest and putting out a little sparkle for the upcoming Christmas season

I love the patina on this champage bucket ~

I picked up these little blue bottles at our consignment shop for $1.00 ~ so I decided to use them on my mantel

I love the pink and blue with touches of silver ~

I even found a faux mercury glass candle at Winner's ~

I just had to put out my little reindeer ~ He makes me smile

Have you started decorating for the Holiday Season?

What have you done?  I would love for you to share with me

((((Hugs))))

Healing ~

Good morning my friends ~ it is a beautiful, sunny, crisp fall day here in Ontario and yes, it is time to heal

It has been a very long and arduous week.  Alcoholism not only affects the alcoholic, it also affects the families of alcoholics.  It is a very dark debilitating disease that not only robs the alcoholic of his/her life, but it also robs the family members of their life as well.

But, we must go on....

and go on we will ~

We must focus on the fact that we are here, healthy and capable of loving and holding each other up.  I will hold my daughter up for as long as need be.  I love her so ~

We must now focus on the lovely, the fact that the Lord will help us through and that we are a very loving family ~ I want to thank all of you for your loving comments and well wishes ~ blogging buddies are the BEST and I do care for each and every one of you.

So for now ~ here is a little lovely to contemplate

I haven't painted this $2.00 mirror yet, but I will (as soon as I make up my mind about a colour)

What colour do you think I should paint this mirror?
