So I coudn't post my shadow shot Sunday with Hey Harriet ~ sigh ~
But I did find a new chicken for my kitchen ~
Speaking of chickens ~ I have an update on the chicken tractor ~
It now has wheels. Mr. Vintage has been working on it in the shop due to the rain.
Two boxes on the bottom, three on top with a perch and a little ramp ~
Here's the inside with the chicken door open
And it has a full sized window for a door to let in sunlight and warmth in the winter months. Now ~ I have to paint the outside. What colour do you think it should be?
Can't wait to hear what you think. By the way, I think Mr. Vintage is the VERY BEST ;-)

ReplyDeleteLove it wish my hubby was hammer and nail able.
ReplyDeleteLove your chicken find and I think red and white paint, like a barn would be cute! Love that chicken tractor!
ReplyDeleteI love the big white chicken! And I'm not sure about color...maybe barn red! ♥
ReplyDeleteLove your chicken tractor. I think you should paint it a bright happy yellow. Can't wait to see it all set up.

Great chicken tractor. I think red would be perfect.
ReplyDeleteThat is the cutest thing ever! I've never seen a chicken tractor before either but it's cute! :-) Yellow would be a nice colour. Looking forward to the finished result - chickens included. Pamela
ReplyDeleteHe should patent this! Very creative and practical!I vote for white. I love white clapboard houses with tin roofs!
ReplyDeleteI think you should paint it periwinkle, with white trim. :-)
ReplyDeleteglad u had a good time with your sister!
ReplyDeleteI've been wanting some chickens at Brambly, and it seems everywhere I look people have great chicken projects! I guess that means I should just take the plunge and raise some chickens.I'm a new follower looking forward to watching your project progress. Take care.

Love the door!!! I only know that I want chickens too, but have never asked, might sound silly, but do chickens see color? I have no idea, but if they do, paint it a color that makes them happy. More eggs, right? I love seeing the progress. Can't wait to see the chicks!

I like your chicken tractor! I've never seen one. I think I would probably paint it white or barn red.
ReplyDeleteI just spent time with my sister too.
Enjoy your day!

Oh this is great...I have only seen these on TV. I think that you should paint it red with a black door. It's so cute that no matter what color you paint it, it will be sensational.
ReplyDeleteLove your new chicken! And the tractor is amazing! I love the window. I know the hens would love it, but do you think a rooster could stand living in a pink or robins egg blue house? haha... Donna
ReplyDeleteHow unique, a Chicken Tractor, very interesting to say the least.

I'm glad you had a fun visit with your sister, Marianne. I like your chicken tractor - lucky you! I agree with painting it red. Or yellow!
