a Little Decorating ~

It has been a while my friends ~ I hope everything is well with you ~  I want to first thank you all for your suggestions and advice that you have given me ~ it really helped.  Britt is a little more settled now, thanks to you ~ YOU really are the BEST ~

We have been busy, shopping, getting Britt settled and trying to decorate for Christmas ~ My favourite time of the year ~ Can you smell the cinnamon and allspice  with a little citrus mixed in?

This year I am leaning toward simple decorations.  I gave alot of my decorations to Britt and she is thrilled to have them.  She has been putting them here and there around her new HOME~

A little glass sleigh and reindeer on top of a cake plate ~

My mother's silver cream and sugar with a little bottle brush tree in it ~  I added the ink well ~ I love this look

I had to put up my little tinsel tree ~ so I put her in a silver ice bucket ~ perfect ~

The mantel is very simple with silver and mercury glass with a touch of white ~

A little glimpse of my new white Christmas Tree ~ I have always wanted one ~

I made a sheet music garland ~

Of course, a little pink ~

I love my new white Christmas Tree ~

I know you all have been decorating ~ what is your favourite holiday theme this year?

Can't wait to hear ~ and I am so GLAD to be back ;-)

I need your help ~

Hello my friends ~ I need a bit of advice ~

If you read my blog, you know that my daughter has bought a new home and has moved out ~ I am doing well with this transition ~ she is not ~

She moved in on Saturday, and she called me this morning, crying ~ she wants to come home ~ she doesn't feel comfortable ~



I have been there, helping her set up her new home ~ I think she is homesick ~

She can't sleep, feels sick to her stomach and misses her home ~ what can I do?

I just advised her to take a hot bath, have a cup of tea and try and bond with her new home ~

Do you have any suggestions?  I don't want her to come home for fear that I am enabling her to stay with us ~

I am so confused ~ Please, if you have gone through this transition, I would love any advice you can give me ~

It's just so hard so see your children hurting ~

My favourite place ~

Hello my friends ~ well, we have been VERY busy moving Britt into her new home.  She's not moved in yet, she is waiting for her furniture.  Ofcourse, my little princess had to have a king size bed and it will arrive this coming Saturday.  Let's hope the mattress is delivered too, they have been told there may be a delay in the mattress delivery ~

Today, Mr. Vintage and I took a much needed rest and we visited our favourite place

It's time ~

Hello once again my friends ~ I have truly missed you ~

We have been busy, going through Britt's house for a final approval.  Busy trying to buy appliances and you know, getting her settled, packing boxes ~

 I wish the best for her and her new future ~ so many possibilities ~

I am going to miss having that cup of tea in the morning and catching up on the days events ~

But ~

There will be times to have a cup and still catch up on days or weeks events ~

Time to visit for dinner ~

Time for a quick cuppa ~

I am going to miss her so ~

I LOVE you Britt ~ I am so happy that you have found happiness ~ that is all I ever wanted for you ~ fly my little one, fly ~

I will be here for you ~ FOREVER ~

It's o.k. Mommy, I'll keep you busy ~
