Welcome to my mess
Happy Sunday ~ Guess what? Something different, it's snowing again ~
This time, it's a sparkly snow ~ very beautiful ~
Well, it's snowed such much here in Ontario that we have set a record ~ an all time high snowfall this year. So, when it's nasty outside ~ what's a girl to do?
Yes~! redecorate ;-)
I have taken everything off the walls, except the clocks. A girl needs to know what time it is ~ There's Chico on the couch, always has to be near to see what Mommy is up to ~
The other end of the living room. I think I had a lot of stuff on the walls. Just look at all of the patching I have to do.
This weekend, did the patching of all of the holes and finished painting the ceiling.
Next weekend, the walls ~ I am still a bit undecided as to the colour.
So, while I thought about it, I made some chilli ~ would you care for some?
Chilli is always good on a cold day. It warms the heart ~
Go ahead, dig in and tell me, what colours do you like best in the living room?
Please do tell
(((Hugs)))

Love your blog...I am in Mass and ready to pull my hair out..No more snow! I cannot imagine how much weight I have gained this winter from the comfort food marathon!
ReplyDeleteMorning, more snow? But pretty snow, love the sparkle.....your living room is sweet, can't wait to see what you redo, Blessings Francine.
ReplyDeleteYou are going to hate me for saying this, but I miss snow! Now about that living room ~ I notice the touches of aqua and I am thinking about where to go from here. I will gather a few pics and email them to you. I am about to start painting my studio. I hate the current pinky beige walls. Wish you were here and we could have a painting party. Perhaps a glass of wine too!
ReplyDeleteBig Texas Hugs,
Susan and Bentley
Susan, I can just imagine how much you miss the snow. If I could I would send all of it your way ;-). The little aqua pieces are the inspiration for this room. Thank you~! I will look forward to the pics. What color are you thinking of in your studio? Wish I could sit with you for about a month and catch up and have a painting party ~ definitely with a glass of wine and some cheese and crackers too
DeleteOh, you sure are in the midst of painting. That's a big job. With the colours in your room and the oak floors and trim I'd go with a warm white or buttercream. I have BM's Hepplewhite Ivory on our walls but you could go lighter again I think. Just my very humble opinion. :) Your chilli sure looks good, Marianne. I hope you share the new look when you're finished. Have fun!
ReplyDeleteThe chili looks so good. We had some for Super bowl Sunday but I'm ready for it again! I like a neutral color on the walls because I use so much color in my decor...like 2 red sofas! Enjoy your week and good luck with your projects. It's a good time to tackle things when you have to be inside! Hugs!
ReplyDeleteI'd love a steaming bowl of chili!
ReplyDeleteBrenda
Well, I won't dare tell you what color to use, as most everything I use is super neutral, but I will tell you that your chili looks Fabulous! I hope you enjoyed it!!!
ReplyDeleteNice photographs of snow and good decor of your house...
ReplyDeleteHow cool is that snow coming down in the first photo?!!
ReplyDeleteChili is on our menu this week. I made some beans over the weekend and we can use them up that way.
I'm sure you will pick a color that makes you feel good.
We're near record snowfall too! Enough already! I want to paint my LR this summer, but I have a ton of painted woodwork to do too so am not too excited. Be sure to post your finished room!
ReplyDeleteIt's fun to start all over with a clean slate, isn't it? Can't wait to see what color you decide to do your walls.
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like you've had enough of the snow (although it looks so pretty). I love your snowy pictures. I would love to see you paint your living room a pretty shade of blue (maybe a light periwinkle). Looking forward to seeing what you decide. Your chili looks delicious.

I think I'll have to come over and think about the wall color over a bowl of chili. :)
ReplyDeleteThe best decorating advice I've ever heard is do what you love. I'm sure no matter what color you choose, it will look great, Marianne.
Thanks for popping over and entering my little giveaway - and best of luck to you!
Hugs,
Lin
I bet you are tired of snow, I can"t wait to see the finish. I need to redecorate too.
ReplyDeleteIt always makes every thing so nice.
Stay warm.
Painting and cooking too! I'm so impressed! But shh, don't let that get out around here! Haha!! I'm loving grey for walls. I don't have any in my place, but it makes white stand out so nicely. I'm not sure I could do a Canadian winter, but sure is beautiful! Best of luck with the room!
ReplyDeleteIsn't cooking something hearty on cold days satisfying?
ReplyDeleteGood luck with the redecorating!
