Another Rainy Day Treasure Hunting~

Happy Sunday everyone ~ It has been another rainy weekend here in Ontario..soooo~

I decided to do a little treasure hunting yesterday ~ I found some beautiful treasures ~

Mr. Vintage found this star ~ I painted it anitque white and I shabbied her up a bit ~

I just love the texture of this star ~ I hope to use it at Christmas on my mantel ~ (what am I saying?  Christmas?)

I had to bring this little glass milk pitcher home with me ~ it was only $1.00 ~
I found this little rolling pin recipe card holder for 50 cents ~ you KNOW how I LOVE rolling pins ;-)

I picked up a bunch of tart tins and jello molds ~

I put them in my little egg basket.

Best of all ~ I picked up this little pie keeper ~ Isn't she sweet?
Have you been Treasure Hunting lately?  What treasures have you found ~ I LOVE to hear from you about your latest thrifting finds

Have a wonderful day ~

((((Hugs))))

PS I just received an e mail from Sherry at back2vintage and she told me that my little pitcher is a 40 oz. star of david prescut pitcher which is worth $33.00 ~ thank you sooo much Sherry.  That's what blogger friends are all about ~ they look out for you and they are sooo smart.  ;-)

  2. You found GREAT tresures! I saw an idea on pintrest where those little tart molds were used in place of the lid on a canning jar -- fastened with the screw band (hope that makes sense) - I've been looking for some ever since. Lately, I scored 2 Johnson Bro Old Mill mugs and a set of Worcester Topez china (only full setting for 4). I am thrilled with them :)

    Blessings!

  7. Hi Marianne, Your little jello molds remind me of some my mom had. Growing up, I always had a problem with them. They are so small on the bottom, I always spilled the jello when I put it into the fridge. Guess I could have put them on a tray. LOL
I like them in the basket.

  8. Hi Marianne,
I have not been treasure hunting for a long time, well, not for a couple of weeks, I guess. I've been clothes hunting, getting ready for Winter. This will be my fourth Winter in Winnipeg and I will soon have enough warm skirts and sweaters to make it through the Winter.:)
I LOVE your star, it will be wonderful for Christmas! Your pie carrier and the tins are real treasures!
    Have a wonderful Sunday,
    Hugs, Cindy

  12. Hey! Great rainy day treasures! Your basket of molds reminds me of a picture I used in my A Return to Loveliness post earlier this week - a photo taken from a back issue of Victoria - the decorator filled a basket with madeleine molds - looks just as great!
It is marvelous when someone shares what they know - terrific find in the milk glass jar!
    Hugs,
    Kathy

  16. those were fun finds...I adore the old cake container. How cute is that.

I love going through antique stores. I found last year a gorgoues yellow old butter dish. Then, hubby went and put it in the microwave
    and it cracked/broke

I had to explain to him that OLD things are usually NOT microwave friendly
so.......dang, on the search again for something to replace what once was my "perfect butter dish"

  19. Great treasures! I especially like the little molds and tins. I have a similar star to yours, with the embossed patter, that I bought in St. Jacobs a few years back. It is currently in our dining room.
