Delicious!

Yesterday, I had a ME day  ;-)

I read and relaxed ~ I love my magazines....I could read and re-read them time and again...

And I put my new little chippy rooster, a thrifting find, up on the shelf with my other chickens...



I also drank some of this...

Hubby made dinner (thank you sweet heart).  Then I made a pineapple upside down cake..Yummy

What a delicious day!  Do you take time to have a "Me" day every once in a while?  I think they are VERY important.  If you do, tell me about it...I'd LOVE to hear from you.

Tick Tock what to do?

What to do ~ what to do.  I keep looking at my clock (which I don't really like).  I need your help ~

I want to paint this clock.  Mr. Vintage keeps looking at me.  He finally said "Go ahead paint the clock...but not pink"..(I LOVE pink). 

So... Should I paint the clock Antique White?

My favourite finds of 2010

Well, after the busy day with the peacocks.. I have recovered a little.  Mindy can now go outside to play and Mommy is VERY happy about that.

I thought, since I am new to the blogging community,  I would share some of my favourite finds of 2010 (I love thrifting)

Knitting?

Hello my friends ~ I have to tell you that I had settled down this evening to finish my knitting project ~ my pink scarf...

I started this scarf before Christmas and I decided I should finish it ~ otherwise I will be wearing it in July when  it's 90 degrees ;-)

Well, I looked out my back window and I saw something on the fence.  Can you believe there was a peacock on my fence?  He then flew down and into the ice patch (that used to be the pool) slid across the pool and looked at me...

Believe it or not, there is a man down the street who has peacocks.  I didn't want to let my little "Minnie Mouse" out of the house for fear that the peacock would hurt her.  Have you ever seen how BIG a peacock is?

I called the neighbour and we had to chase this thing around the back yard with a flash light (as now it was completely dark).  He did catch the peacock and then low and behold....there was another one sitting on the fence.  He took the first one home and came back for the other..

Guest What??? - We can't find it ~ Couldn't get any pictures either - it was too dark.

I think I'll take Mindy for a walk....... :-)

I wonder..Is it good luck or bad luck to have a peacock in your back yard?  Do you know?

Thrifting!!

My good friend and neighbour Karen, and I, went to our thrift store today..I love to go thrifting!

and this ~ I love dishes....I may have to go back for these It's only one place setting, but I could use them when no one is around ;-)

P.S. edited ~ Well, ladies I did go back and buy that silver compote.  Karen went with me and bought a copper pot.  Aren't we bad?!!!

Banana Bread

Good morning ~ I have made some banana bread.  There is nothing like banana bread with a little butter for breakfast, with a cup of coffee, or tea if you wish ;-)

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year everyone!  A fun time was had by all...We spent New Years Eve with our daughter and her boyfriend and my most fabulous wonderful friend Jo Ann ~ good food and good times

I spent most of the day putting all of the Christmas decorations away, taking the tree down and now everything is back to normal

Ofcourse, I start thinking about new projects.....Should I paint this clock?
