I'm not leaving ~!

Hello ~ it's been a little while ~ well, I am trying to cope with this Vertigo that just doesn't want to leave me.  I am feeling much better with the medication that I am on.  Anyway, as you know, Mr. Vintage and I have been trying to sell the house, but......nothing.  Alot of lookers but no takers.

We have decided once and for all ~ we are staying put ~!  I am not leaving ~!

Mr. Vintage and I have talked alot and have prayed alot and we have come to the conclusion that we have everything that we want right here ~

So ~ there is going to be alot of redecorating and changes around the vintage household.

We have decided to go with the simple prairie farmhouse style throughout the house.  Mr. Vintage is up to something today in the kitchen ;-)

I'll keep you posted.  In the meantime, is spring coming soon?  Does anyone know?  Here in Ontario ~ yes, more snow ~ sigh ~ I need spring.

I hope wherever you are ~ you are enjoying your day ~! and send some Spring this way ~

(((Hugs)))

Marianne

  1. Sounds fun to Me.Now you can redecorate and fall in love with your house all over again. There have been times in My life through the moving process,My husband fixes up a house for selling and when He's finished, I end up thinking (to Myself of course)"Now I want to stay-Why didn't you do this before We decided to move." I still love Him ; )

  4. I wish I could say that spring was coming soon, but my folks lived in Ontario for years and I know how long you have to wait for spring there. So we'll just say it IS coming. Hang in there.
I bet you feel a huge relief knowing that you have decided to stay and just fix things up the way you want them. Moving is such a HUGE chore.

  5. That is great that you are staying and that you realize that you have what you need right there before the house was sold.

I thought Spring was here but Old Man Winter just doesn't seem to realize that he has been evicted! It is snowing north of us and we are to get some by Saturday.

  6. Sometimes that is simply the BEST solution. :-) Enjoy the redecorating. More snow here in NW Wisconsin, but I could actually smell that lovely sprig of lilac! sigh.

  7. Sounds like you and your hubby gave this serious thought and prayer as you said. I bet staying put (seems simpler doesn't it, not having to pack up stuff etc) But, the fun part will be the little changes you do around your place.
It will be fun to see.

  9. I am so sorry you are still bothered with the vertigo but it's good to have something that helps. It's nice to make a decision about the house so that you can make plans. I know you are anxious to make some changes now. We still have so much we need to do to this house. I need to make a new list! lol Enjoy your week! I hope it gets warmer soon!

  10. I wondered if your house was still for sale Marianne. Sometimes it's good to just stay put and 'fix up the old place'. Renovations can lead to a new look that will make you want to stay. I like the prairie farmhouse style and you certainly have a lot of vintage things that will work with it. I'm sorry the vertigo is still bothering you. I hope it will improve with each day and the medication. Blessings to you. Pamela

  12. It must feel good to have made the decision. Now you can relax and take good care of each other, right there.
I'm sending healing thoughts and warm weather. We had to put our A/C on today. Good grief!

  13. How exciting to know that you now know where you're going to be for a while and the changes will be wonderful, I'm sure. I know just what you mean about wondering where Spring is! I am wondering the same...I am really tired of winter, I have to say. But, it is beautiful and sunny here today, that's a bonus!

  14. I do hope that you start feeling better very soon. Perhaps the vertigo has been brought on by stress. I think your decision to stay put is a good one. Sometimes what we think we want is not as good as what we already have. As always, you are in my thoughts and my prayers.

    Big Hugs,
    Susan and Bentley
