Mr. Vintage does it again ~!

Mr. Vintage knows how much I LOVE, cabinets and bookcases and little cabinets ~ sigh ~ well....he did it again

We picked this up at the local thrift store and ofcourse, painted it white and added vintage knobs and handles...then...

Mr. Vintage made me the hutch out of two old windows that Karen our next door neighbour gave us!

Now it looks like this ~

I have all my green depression glass and jadite dishes in the top  ~ Mindy don't you LOVE mommy's cabinet?

Yes I do mommy, but right know I'm busy ....

As soon as I'm done looking for squirrels...I'll look at your cabinet

But I know Daddy did a VERY good job.

A heart Warming Surprise~!

A couple of day ago, I was visiting my favourite blogs and I stopped to see Cindy at the Heart of Your Home.  I was so happy that Cindy had won the Stylish Blogger's Award ~ I was scrolling down, reading the 7 things about her ~ when...did I see right?  I couldn't believe it so I didn't post it right away.  I still can't believe it...being such a new blogger~

Valentine's Day Treasures ~

I love vintage calling cards..... they make me smile ;-)

Inspirational ~

I think everyone needs a little corner or a room somewhere in their home in order to create and become inspired ~ Don't you?

I was not satisfied with my space..I didn't care for the computer desk so.....

Mr. Vintage and I went thrifting this weekend.  I had a vintage pie table and we found a hutch (I didn't even have to paint it~!).  It's perrrrrfect!

I LOVE, lamps...oil lamps, electrified lamps, any kind of lamp ;-)

Little Tin Cup

I LOVE this little enamelware cup.....

I bought this little cutie at a yard sale one day for 25 cents. I thought it would look cute in my vintage 50's, yellow kitchen with red and turquoise accents.  When I brought it home, my hubby's eyes lit up and he smiled.  He started telling me about his childhood when he worked on a farm and they had the same little cup next to the well where he would get a drink of water during the day ~ that night, he told me stories about working on the farm when he was a young boy.  I listened and listened, with a very grateful heart.  We  had a great evening. ~ sigh ~

Now, this little treasure has a place of honour in our home, hanging by the sink ~ so when Mr. Vintage feels like it, he can have a drink of water out of it..... and remember...

 Who would have known that this little red and white cup could hold so many memories?  ;-)

Watching paint dry

Why does paint take so LONG to dry?

Well, I painted my clock, then.....

I dusted my shelf...



I dusted my gone with the wind lamp and cleaned, did laundry ~ and still the paint was not dry enough.  The next door neighbours, Karen and Mike,  invited Mr. Vintage and I for dinner.  It was yummy chilli.  When we got there, a gift was sitting at my place setting.  Karen said it reminded her of me ;-)

Isn't this the cutest shabby pen and paper set?  THANK YOU Karen you are a sweetheart .

This morning, my clock was FINALLY dry enough, So I shabbied her up a bit ~  and here she is!

Mommy hasn't been feeling well ~ her tummy is upset.  We've been napping on the couch. But....

It's too cold to go outside....

Yesterday, I had a ME day  ;-)

I read and relaxed ~ I love my magazines....I could read and re-read them time and again...

And I put my new little chippy rooster, a thrifting find, up on the shelf with my other chickens...



I also drank some of this...

Hubby made dinner (thank you sweet heart).  Then I made a pineapple upside down cake..Yummy

What a delicious day!  Do you take time to have a "Me" day every once in a while?  I think they are VERY important.  If you do, tell me about it...I'd LOVE to hear from you.

Tick Tock what to do?

What to do ~ what to do.  I keep looking at my clock (which I don't really like).  I need your help ~

I want to paint this clock.  Mr. Vintage keeps looking at me.  He finally said "Go ahead paint the clock...but not pink"..(I LOVE pink). 

So... Should I paint the clock Antique White?
