Junkin' on a Rainy Day ~

Hello my friends ~ It's rainy, cold and damp here in Ontario, so Mr. Vintage and I went for a drive.  Well lo and behold ~ could it be?  Yes!  Yes! a garage sale ;-)

We couldn't help ourselves, and these are the little pretties that I picked up ~

I picked up this little flower pot for 50 cents.  Once, I got it home I realized that it's a Fitz and Floyd ~

I love the shell and coral detail on the sides ~

Then, I spotted these ~

I love old keys. What is it about old keys that is so appealing?  Well, I really lucked out on these.  I asked the lady how much she wanted for them.  She told me "take them".  They were a gift from the nice lady.

Then I picked up four of these for $2.00.  I love to drink iced tea and an occasional glass of wine out of these.  It just makes everything taste better and feel so elegant.

Well, the other pretties that I picked up are being laundered, so I will have to share them with you another time.

Have you been junkin' lately?

I can't wait to hear all of your junkin' stories

(((Hugs)))

Marianne

  5. I love the yellow chicken salt and pepper set! And how nice to get free keys. We stopped at a yard sale today with a lot of antiques and collectibles but they prices were quite high and I didn't have more than $5.00 so came home without anything. Not that I need any more stuff but one never knows do they?

  8. I haven't been lucky enough to run across many lately. And the last time I did, I didn't buy a thing. Having to be careful. But couldn't even find anything of the little stuff. Oh well, where on earth would I put it?

  11. The car boot season has started over here. This year I am able to go as Elsie is old enough to be left (she eats all the dropped burger buns if she comes with me). Yesterday I got an ancient tin filled with buttons. Bliss! And some lovely lace.

Keys. Yes, what is it? The potential to unlock secret places? I think that's it. The romantic potential of them. How nice to be given them.

    Have a lovely weekend. xx

  17. What wonderful treasures! The junkin' angels were with you. A belated Happy Birthday to your darling girl. I am hoping that the years ahead bring her only sunny days. And give that sweet Chessie a big kiss from me. What soulful sweet eyes.

  18. Well, that was certainly a great day for you! You sure got some wonderful treasures. I've been spending a lot of time at Goodwill Stores, we actually have 48 in the greater Phoenix area, yes, I said 48! We can't go to all of them all the time, but we certainly try. I have been missing the yard sales though, but after seeing this post, I'm going to get back to it!
