Do you love them too?

Hello my friends ~ it is still bitter cold here in Ontario, so I am staying inside and dreaming about spring ~ ahhhh spring ~

I love linens ~ I love to see them hang on the clothesline drying ~ it just makes me happy

I love my aprons, they make me smile ;-)

I love pretty linens ~

I love pretty things ~

Freshly pressed linens just make my day.  They make my heart sing ~

Do they make your heart sing too?

This was a little surprise.  Last year, Mr. Vintage bought a hyacinth for me.  Well, when it's blooms had expired, I put it in the basement.  Well lo and behold ~ I went in the basement and here it is ~ once again growing and trying to bloom ~

I can't wait for spring ~

decorating with Mr. Vintage

hello my friends ~

As you know, we have had very blustery and wintery weather here in Ontario -

My patio furniture has all but disappeared ~

The wind has been howling ~

and I mean howling ~ this is the show  blowing off of the roofs of the neighbors.

So, as much as I love the outdoors, I have stayed inside and have been puttering around ~

I love to tweak and decorate ~

set up little vignettes ~

Well, yesterday Mr. Vintage and I paid a visit to our local antique store.  I really was looking for a white enamelware funnel.  I have one, but Mr. V. took it to the garage and after pouring Lord knows what in that funnel, I gave it to him.  It was plastic (didn't really like it).

Well, we found two of the little gems.

This morning I woke up and found this in the kitchen ~

Ahem,  Mr. Vintage thought that the funnels should be with my enamelware utensil hanger ;-)

I don't think these will stay here ~

I think they look rather funny.  But from a man's point of view (speaking garage/shop talk), that is probably a very good place for them ~ in plain view ;-)

What do you think?

Have you been treasure hunting lately?  Do tell…..

Sunday memories ~

Hello my friends.  It is sill dreary here in Ontario.  The temps have risen to 36 F, and all the lovely snow is melting.  We have not seen the sun for quite a few days ~

I am not going to let that get me down.  I decided to share with you some sunny warm memories ~

I love lilacs, don't you?  I can hardly wait until their blooms appear once again at the side of our porch so that I have take in their heavenly perfume ~

The tulips are presently sleeping, but once awakened from their winter slumber, they will once again show their beautiful faces ~

My bleeding heart will once again show me hers <3

Such a beauty and her perfume is glorious ~

My favorite rock will once again bloom as well ~

I wonder where the fairies go in the winter?

I hope you enjoyed the little bit of warm weather and sunshine that I have shared with you today ~

Is it warm where you are?  Is it sunny?  If it is ~ enjoy

A Wonderful Walk

Hello again my friends ~ it is snowing again in Ontario

We have received more snow in the last two weeks than we have gotten in a whole winter ~

Just look at all of the snow ~  We are trying to stay warm

Everything is blanketed in a beautiful white cover ~ brrrrrr

I am trying to make the house look warm and cozy ~

Here is my little banner in front of the fireplace ~ mittens always keep you warm ~ don't you think?

I sit here and sip hot cocoa ~ mmmmmm ~

tonight, Mr. V. and I went for a walk in the snow.  The snow was falling and there was no wind.  We got dressed and just walked.  It was so peaceful ~

Have you ever noticed that when it snows it is very quiet?  I love that ~

I think it is going to be a snow day tomorrow ~ ahhhhh  ~ stay warm my friends ~

(((Hugs)))

is it snowing where you are?
