Morning Glory and Tomatoes ~

Hello everyone ~ Well, it certainly has been a busy day around the Vintage household.

It has been sooo hot here in Ontario (115 F), and today we woke up to cool cool temps.  In the 50's ~

My morning glories are just beautiful ~

They are starting to grow right into the green house ~

I took advantage of the cool weather and canned tomatoes ~
mmmmm ~

The turned out beautifully ~

Mr. Vintage helped me peel all of the tomatoes ~ thank you Mr. Vingage ~ ;-)

What did you do today?

Can't wait to hear from you

(((Hugs)))

  2. Haven't done much of anything today but be online. Should be packing. I've never canned. But maybe I'll learn after I start my big veggie garden. You will so love those in the winter in a stew!

  7. The morning glories are glorious! And the tomatoes - wow, look at the tomato juice you will enjoy this winter. Great job! For Labor Day, our church always has a picnic followed by a very intensive, very competitive kick ball tournament - and the little kids get lots of help and can't be tagged. So much fun. Today is back to reality - first day of this year's homeschooling, pray for me :-O

  9. Your morning glories are lovely, it's been a long time since I have seen those growing anywhere.
I went miniature golfing with my friends this morning before it got too hot.
Your canned tomatoes look wonderful! And the Roma are so good, aren't they.
I froze my tomatoes, I will see how I like using them.

  10. Beautiful flowers but I'm really impressed with your canning of the tomatoes. I have never done any canning but have helped shell peas and beans for my mom to put in the freezer. It will be so wonderful for you to have those tomatoes all through the winter!!!!

  11. Marianne, You're a better woman that I am canning all those tomatoes. I'm lazy and just freeze mine. It's wonderful that you grow and preserve tomaotes for the winter. Home grown is so much better. We still have peppers growing and I just chop and freeze those in bags.
Thanks for sharing your morning glory photos too. So pretty.
    Have a great week,
    Babs
