~ ahhh home alone ~

Well my friends... Mr. Vintage is not at home and my daughter is at night class at the U.... I am home ALONE ~ ahhhh ~
Don't get me wrong I LOVE Mr. Vintage and I adore my daughter... but....time alone is VERY special ~

I decided I would have this for dinner ;-)

It just wasn't interesting enough....so I added a little roasted chicken...

A little balsamic vinegar and olive oil ~ Now that's perfect~

It was delicious...Now if you don't mind, I'm going to take a nice loooong hot bath in Lavender bath salts, put on my cozy comfy pj's and enjoy a few magazines...

What do you do when you are home alone?

I can't wait to hear ~

  5. I love time alone! Love to take a long bath, read a book or work on a project that doesn't have to be put away soon after beginning. And then I'm ready for my sweetheart to come home again!

  7. Hi Marianne,

When home alone I enjoy having the tv/dvd for myself to watch a costume drama or other good movie. With a husband and three daughters I seldom have :-)!

    Your salad looks delicious!

  9. I'm hardly ever alone, because hubs works from home. That's why I insist that the only thing I want for Mother's Day every year is for him to take the boys and do something outside of the house. Of course maybe the reason I'm never left alone in the house is because the last 2 times, I've taken out the tools and demolished something. ;) Your salad looks great. Thanks for sharing.

  13. Hi Marianne...

Mmm...your salad looks scrumptious, my friend! It sounds like you had a wonderful evening...all by yourself! Hehe! You know, I am an empty nester and I have all day home alone...while my honey is at work. I actually look forward to when he gets home...for a little company!

I just wanted to come by to say thank you for stopping by and taking a peek at my Valentine table! I really enjoyed your visit and sweet note, my friend! Thank you!

    Warmest Valentine wishes,

  14. Oh that definitely looks yummy. When I am home alone, I usually start messing with my vignettes of home projects (during the day) and lounge in front of the television with my laptop in my lap and chocolate in my hand (in the evenings).

  15. That dinner looks so delicious! Mmm! I had a home alone the other night and I watched a romantic comedy and made myself some bruschetta. It probably was very good that I was home alone because it was full of garlic and onion! :)

  16. Your salad looks wonderful. When I am home all alone, I make a special but quick and easy dinner, I read my book while I eat and I get my jammies on early and read for several more hours.
    Something like you do, actually.

  17. That sounds perfect! I like to do lots of things when I am home alone but to me the best part is usually having the tv off. I get so tired of the sound of it.
