I wish this were mine ~ sigh ~

Hello my friends ~ I just wanted to let you know how much Mr. Vintage and I appreciate all of your thoughts and prayers.  You have made me smile ~ each and every one of YOU.

I cannot express, how overwhelmed I was with the outpouring of love from all of you.  I read all of your comments with tears in my eyes.  THANK YOU.

Well, as you know Mr. Vintage is trying to do his best.  He can't do much AND he's bored to death.  He has always been a doer and loves to work on things.  A few weeks back, a friend gave him this to work on.  It was our friend's grandmother's cabinet and he wanted to use it.  It's been in his garage for years.

Here is the top piece

This is the bottom piece ~

A complete rust bucket.

I was thinking to myself (Are you kidding? He'll never finish this)  But, Mr. Vintage is one of a kind.  He has worked and worked at it, a little at a time.  I did help him with some of the painting.  Now  ~ sigh ~ I wish it was mine

This is the sweetest little cabinet I have ever seen.  I love the robbin's egg blue colour.  Mr. Vintage never ceases to amaze me.  Although he does not feel well and he is in constant pain, he pushes through.  I think that is the reason I fell in love with this man.

The enamel top pulls out for more work space in the kitchen.  Gino is going to LOVE this cabinet.

What do you think?

I can't wait to hear from you...

(((Hugs)))

Marianne

  1. That is a beautiful cabinet. It is sort of a Hoosier only in metal. I don't think I've ever seen one like it. Your husband did a beautiful job in refinishing it. Bless his heart! Maybe that will be his therapy, something to keep him going a bit at a time. Blessings to you. Pamela

  10. Oh that cabinet is wonderful. I love the blue color too. It would be so cute not only in a kitchen, but I could see it in a bathroom holding toiletries and towels.

I am sure (despite his pain) he was glad to have something to do. To help him Push pass this pain he is in and boredom.

  15. Hi Marianne,
I absolutely LOVE this cabinet! Even the color! It wouldn't match my kitchen but I would surely change the color just for this cabinet! lol! Your husband did an awesome job.
I'm so sorry to hear that he is in so much pain. I am sending prayers your way. And I'm sorry to hear that you are having to sell your home. We had to sell our (dream) home because of health reasons too.I was really sad as this was our home for good-we thought. But our health is far more important. I have to say I have adjusted quite well and I know you will too. Just have faith that God will take care of you. I just know He will.
Healing hugs and many blessings to you and your husband,
    Sonya
