Sunday Smiles ~

Happy Sunday ~

I have been busy getting our house ready to put on the market.  Mr. Vintage and I have decided that we really want to downsize ~ so today I am going to share with you some images that just make me smile ;-)

I love plates, single, sets, big or small ~  they make me smile

I hang them and ~

I stack them ~

Don't you just LOVE pretty plates?

My aprons make me smile ~

I love finding vintage aprons.  I always wonder who wore these before me and what stories could these aprons tell ~

And yes, I DO wear them ~

My vintage cook books make me smile ~ These are my favourites.  They hold such yummy recipes ~

What makes you smile?

Hope you have a wonderful Sunday ~

  1. I do love vintage plates...too much. Great vintagey music you have! Good luck with the house...we just went through selling. It can be stressful...

  2. I'm also a huge plate lover! My hubby sells real estate and I sure know all about it, as years ago I also sold real estate. May it all go well for you. The market is still slow in MN!

  3. Good morning Marianne
Your excitement about your treasures make Me smile! Good luck with the sale of your home.. as you know we went through this last summer and although it was a huge job and I parted with so many of my treasures I am so happy we did it.. I love our new place and the timing could not have been more perfect for us! Enjoy your day.

    Hugs,

  5. Vintage plates also make me smile. You have quite a collection. I guess I do too but most of them are out of sight. They need to come out where I can enjoy them. Are you downsizing to a smaller house or a condo? Will you take all your pretty plates?? Have a blessed week Marianne.

  6. I love your plates, but I'm truly most excited about the aprons. I collect them too, although only a few are "elderly" and more are new or ones I have made. Thanks for sharing.

  7. I use to have a blue and white striped full apron I got at a garage sale for next to nothing. Don't know what happened to it. Wish I still had it. If you're downsizing, you'll be in the midst of all the stuff I was! But I think you will be pleased. My utility bills are much cheaper.

  10. Old silver makes me smile, as well as white china and ironstone. I adore pretty little red hearts and doilies.
You have so many sweet treasures, I wish I lived close to you, I would love to see your beautiful home before you sell it. I love old aprons, too.

  11. Well, I certainly did downsize, when I moved here to marry my hubby.
Our house is only 950 square feet.....actually too small for me.
I need to "medium" down size (tee, hee)

I LOVE plates too. I collect them myself.

  14. You are not alone in your obsessions. Some of my best sellers are plates, aprons and cookbooks. I'm always looking for them. I love your collection of aprons....so colorful!!!
