  4. Aren't gold finches the brightest yellow birds around? I love them. They've been at my feeder the past few days and in all the rain and dreariness they have brightened me up! Your garden looks great. Mine is wet! LOL Take Care.

  7. The kids and I love to sit in the kitchen and watch the birds. We don't have gold finches. Aren't they such a vibrant color?! I don't think Mindy needs to worry. She can hold her own. Too cute! No plans... that's when the trouble starts :)

  10. How beautiful...Goldfinches (and Cardinals) have always been my favorites. Your garden looks wonderful. A green thumb I have not! Maybe someday I'll put more effort into it, but usually I do potted plants on the porch in Spring. Looks like your thumb is VERY green.
    Blessings & Hugs,

  17. Hi Marianne, I have an Australian Zebra Finch, and just love Birds. Never seen gold ones, are they your pets? Or found naturally in your Garden? They're just darling.

  18. Marianne - what sweet pictures...reminds us of our grandparents house - they always had finch feeders outside the kitchen window in the lilac bushes....what great memories :)
Your yard is coming along...can't wait to see it all greened up....with all of our rain we are getting lots of green popping up all over...if only it would dry up so we could take pictures!

  23. Hi Marianne,
I can just spend hours watching the cute little birdies outside...They just make everyting a little brighter...Well, maybe not those big-o-crows that like to tease the birdies and doves that play in my yard :-) Your garden looks very pretty. Doggie kisses to sweet little Mindy.

  26. I love the color of the finches. At my office we have blue jays, cardinals and a red wing blackbird. At home though, the bassets keep the birds away!
