So glad to be back

Hello my friends ~it has been so gloomy here. I could not take pictures at all ~

Now the sun is shining and I can once again take pictures and visit you.  I have missed  you all

I cannot believe that this rose bush continues to bloom, even though it has been frosty and cold ~ such a thriving plant ~ don't you think?  

I have been so busy with life.  I have to apologize for not being around.  But things are settling down now.  Sometimes, life happens ~

The frost is settling in on my thyme ~

Well, it is that time of year ~  time to snuggle and get cozy in front of the fire ~ hot chocolate ~ you know ~ cozy time ~

Time to knit little things.  Yes, I am making Chico a little scarf While I was knitting, Mr. V. did it again ~ swoon ~

I found an old foot stool outside of an estate sale in the trash ~ yep ~ I took it out of the trash and rescued it.  Unfortunately, I did not take a picture of it before.  But, it was very forlorne and ragged

Here it is now.  Mr. V. is wonderful.  He makes magic happen ~

It is now is my sewing~craft room.  My little corner where I love to sit and relax.  Chico thinks this  is his little corner ;-)

Mommy has been very busy, but now she has time to visit.  Will you come and play with us?

It's Chico's birthday !

Hello~!

Today is my birthday~  I am one year old today~

Remember when I was very little?

I was always very cold and snuggled up in my blankie

I still sleep in my little bed ~

BUT!

Today, I'm all grown up ~

I'm going to play now, blogging is such hard work ~

Tweaking my craft ~ sewing room 

Mr. V. and I did have a chance to stop at our favourite antique~shabby chic store the other day ~

I picked up this little piece of architectural salvage ~

And this piece to hold my fern.  I am attempting to bring the ferns in this year ~ wish me luck.  The last time I did this they did not make it the winter ~

Well, Chico is ready for Hallowe'en ~

Can we go trick or treating now?

Not yet Chico, a couple more sleeps ;-)

I can hardly wait to see of the the little ghouls and gobblins and princesses of course ~

Does Lightening Strike twice?

Happy Sunday my friends ~  well, it is still rainy and damp today, but that doesn't dampen my spirits.

I finally had enough sun light to take pictures of my latest treasures ~

Mr. Vintage and I went for a ride the other day and I found this beautiful little soap dish ~

It now lives on my table in the craft/sewing room ;-)

I found this little beauty at the same yard sale.  It now lives on my desk in my craft/sewing room.

By the way, there are big changes happening in this room.  I'll show you later ~

But the VERY biggest surprise was when Mr. Vintage spotted these ~

I have been looking for a couple of lightening rods for a long time.  Well, really one.  I think they are beautiful.  But they were sooooo pricey that I just kept passing them up.

We went to Heritage Village Treasure Hunt and of course, I wandered off to look at little pretties.  Mr. V. found me and said "you had better come with me, I think  I bought something for you, if you want them".  Well, be still my beating heart ~ there they were in all their glory.

Well of course, I want them ~ and we got them very cheap.  The best thing about them is they were removed from a house down the street from us.  I love it ~!

Oh my ~!

Hello my friends ~ Happy  Saturday.

Today here in Harrow, Ontario, it is very gloomy and muggy ~ so I thought I would share some sunshine with you today

Just because it's gloomy outside, doesn't mean our hearts have to be gloomy ;-)

I wanted to share with you my new treasures, but it isn't a very good day to take pictures ~ sigh ~

There's always tomorrow ~

Besides, the squirrels are still running around trying to bury all the nuts in the yard ~

Watch them Chico~ don't let them get too close~

I am Mommy, I am ~ but would you open the back door so I can chase them?

If I could only jump over this white picket fence, hmmmm ~ there's one  now ~

Harvest

Hello my friends ~ It has been awhile.  Mr. V. and I have been busy camping, putting up preserves for the winter ~ you know, acting a bit like the animals.  Getting ready for a long winter ~

Today it was a perfect fall day.  A bit overcast and cool.  So Mr. V and I went to find a couple of pumpkins.  The one above is just what a wanted, something different.

I moved my chippy little bench by the white picket fence and this little cart, we found at a yard sale for a dollar.  Well, this was just waiting to be filled with gourds.

This wonderful pot pourrie I found at Pier One.  It just smells devine ;-)

A few little fall touches here and there ~

Finally it's completed ~

Hello my friends.  It is a glorious morning ;-)

I cannot believe that it is September.  

I have been so busy trying to get our bathroom completed downstairs.  I finally finished my bathroom, 

which I absolutely love, but poor Mr. Vintage, his bathroom was a wreck.

Here is the bathroom before

It was awful.  Very dated ~ but, we finally finished.  We started in May and then my father-in-law passed away and we started painting Mom's house.  This was put on the back burner.  I am very happy to say that we finished~and here it is 

I am so pleased with it. Mr. Vintage loves it! Hmmmmm, I think it's time to do the living room~ I see a lot of decorating in the future.
