Sunny Saturday ~

Good morning everyone ~ I apologize that I have been missing, but Mr. Vintage has been going through some tests and we have been at the hospital alot lately. Hopefully, the tests will come back good ~ Please say a prayer for him

Well, my Sunflower is shining it's bright face upon the back yard ~ that is definitely something to smile about ;-)



She stands very tall ~

I planted a few of these, but she is the lone survivor of the hot hot temps and the dry dry weather.  Well, I am lucky to have one ~

Fall is in the air ~ my garden is just about done ~  Some of you asked about my little "Hillbilly" shack in the back yard.  It's my little potting shed that Mr. Vintage made for me ~ we have decorated it up ~

Just perfect for a Hillbilly shack ~ don't you think?

Now, I must show you what I made out of an old window ~

Mr. Vintage hung it on my green house, but I may hang it in front of our big window in the family room ~ hmmm ~ decisions, decisions

Music to my ears ~

Happy Saturday everyone ~

I have been busy fluffing my nest with my latest found treasures ~ fluffing my nest always makes me happy. 

Do you like to fluff your nest?

I was fluffing and thinking how much I enjoy writing letters and cards, as I was dusting my antique ink well

I love antique calling cards ~ I wish the practice of leaving them with friends would resume.  It would be such fun ;-)

In the middle of my fluffing, Mr. Vintage called me to come and see what he found ~

A vintage stereo and turntable ~ oh my~!

This side lights up and has glass shelving with a mirror on the bottom.

We are redoing our family room and I KNOW we will enjoy listening to this little beauty ...and... it works ~ ahhh, music to my ears ~  Mr. Vintage ~ you are incredible ;-)

My greenhouse and some Treasures ~

Good morning everyone ~ I hope your weekend is going well.

I have had some e mails asking for some pictures of my green house ~ I love my green house ~ it makes me smile

Mr. Vintage built this green house for me a couple of years ago ~ Mr. Vintage is the best ;-)

And now a few treasures that I picked up this weekend

I just had to have this sea grass chair ~

My friend Karen gave me these.  Even though the yellow one does not have a mate and is cracked, some one has to love it ~ Don't you agree?

Well, today Mr. Vintage and I are going grocery shopping and maybe hit a few yard sales along the way ~ and then the best part ~ we're going to relax ~ ahhhhh

My New Ride ~

A fantastic fish fry and treasures ~

Happy Wednesday everyone ~

Well the fish fry that Mr. Vintage and I attended was absolutely delish ~  Our friend has an absolutely goregous spot on the lake ~ Just look ~

Our camper wasn't quite set up yet, but I couldn't resist taking a picture ~

Ahhh ~ how relaxing ~ these folks were having a grand time...

We ate so much, I rolled to the camper ;-)
BUT ~ the best part of the night was little Lucy ~ she is sooooo adorable and fun... but at the end of the night (7:30 p.m.) she had enough of the party

On the way to our friends house ~ ofcourse, Mr. Vintage & I stopped at a yard sale (isn't that what we do?)

Yard Sale

Happy Saturday everyone ~ I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend ~

I am going to share with you, some of the goodies we had at our yard sale ~

I just love this chippy little dresser ~ alas it did not sell and I am going to keep it.  Looks like I'll be fluffing my nest looking for a place for it ;-)

I love the chippy paint and the handles are so adorable....

Mr. Vintage and I did this chair together.  I found a new one and this one had to go ~

This sweet little plate was one of the first things to go

I am a dish fanatic, but sometimes you have to let things go (to make room for more, of course)

I also love linens, but you can't keep them all ~

I had a hard time letting this little table and chairs go.  It is so cute

Here are a few more goodies ~

Mr. Vintage and I had so much fun, alot of laughter and joking around with the customers.  It was a very good day.

Tonight Mr. Vintage and I are going to a fish fry out at the lake and we're taking our little camper.  Some of you have asked for pictures of the inside.  You can see them here and here.

Tuesday Treasures ~

Hello everyone ~

My Roses of Sharon are in full bloom and they are just lovely ~ they make me smile

We had a great yard sale and had alot of fun, but I wanted to share with you some of my finds from our camping trip ~

Isn't this bowl just adorable.  I have one in pink milk glass, but I've never seen a green one.  It just screamed "take me home~!"

I couldn't pass up this scale.  I thought it was sooo different ~ thank you Mr. Vintage for pointing this out to me ;-)

These sweet little pictures I couldn't pass up ~ although they ended up in the yard sale.
