A tattered toddler chair

Hello my friends ~ This is going to be my project for the weekend ~

My tattered antique toddler chair ;-)

Hubby and I found this at the bi-annual Treasure Hunt at the local Heritage Village for $5.00.  It has been neglected and is a little tattered and torn  ~ BUT.. this weekend I'm going to LOVE her.  After all Valentine's Day is coming, isn't it?   I will share her with you when I am finished.

Before I go, I also want to share with you the nice little pretties that I received in the mail today ~ sigh ~ I love getting pretties in the mail ~



I visited SaltboxTreasures etsy shop and found them ~ aren't the tags absolutely adorable and the lavender sachet ~ well it just smells divine ;-)

~ ahhh home alone ~

Well my friends... Mr. Vintage is not at home and my daughter is at night class at the U.... I am home ALONE ~ ahhhh ~
Don't get me wrong I LOVE Mr. Vintage and I adore my daughter... but....time alone is VERY special ~

I decided I would have this for dinner ;-)

It just wasn't interesting enough....so I added a little roasted chicken...

A little balsamic vinegar and olive oil ~ Now that's perfect~

It was delicious...Now if you don't mind, I'm going to take a nice loooong hot bath in Lavender bath salts, put on my cozy comfy pj's and enjoy a few magazines...

What do you do when you are home alone?

With all the snow we have, I am loving the flowers in my home ~
I LOVE flowers ~

My dried lavender with my straw hat reminds me of summer~

Delicious ~ !

Last night Mr. Vintage and I, had Karen and her sweety over for dinner.  Mr. Vintage cooked roast, mashed potatoes, gravy, mushrooms and onions and Karen brought over salad....yummy

Karen brought me a flower ;-)

BUT
Mr. Vintage made this for desert~



It was FAB U LOUS ~

Here's how ~ cut pineapple down the middle (including the greens).  Scoop out pineapple, put a scoop of vanilla ice cream in the centre and top with cubed pieces of pineapple.  Then put it in the oven at 400 degrees for two minutes.  The heat brings out the sweetness of the pineapple and the ice cream just melts to the consistency of soft ice cream ~ YUM!

Today because it was snowing AGAIN ~ Mr. Vintage and I went thrifting

So far it has been a wonderful weekend... and Mr. Vintage? I definitely think I will KEEP HIM ;-)

Thursday Hugs ~

Happy Friday everyone ;-)

I have been busy painting my bathroom and getting our house ready to sell ~ down sizing time..kind of scary but at the same time exciting.  I was once told "If you are not a little bit apprehensive, then nothing exciting is happening in your life~" .. how true

Just wanted to tell you that I appreciate each and every one of you.  I am so grateful for all the lovely comments that you leave for me.  I appreciate it, I REALLY do

Mr. Vintage does it again ~!

Mr. Vintage knows how much I LOVE, cabinets and bookcases and little cabinets ~ sigh ~ well....he did it again

We picked this up at the local thrift store and ofcourse, painted it white and added vintage knobs and handles...then...

Mr. Vintage made me the hutch out of two old windows that Karen our next door neighbour gave us!

Now it looks like this ~

I have all my green depression glass and jadite dishes in the top  ~ Mindy don't you LOVE mommy's cabinet?

Yes I do mommy, but right know I'm busy ....

As soon as I'm done looking for squirrels...I'll look at your cabinet

But I know Daddy did a VERY good job.

YES, he did Mindy ;-)

A heart Warming Surprise~!

A couple of day ago, I was visiting my favourite blogs and I stopped to see Cindy at the Heart of Your Home.  I was so happy that Cindy had won the Stylish Blogger's Award ~ I was scrolling down, reading the 7 things about her ~ when...did I see right?  I couldn't believe it so I didn't post it right away.  I still can't believe it...being such a new blogger~
